October 2026 · By Maître Louis LAZARD
Decree no. 2026-683 of 27 July 2026, which simplifies civil procedure, amends Articles R. 1452-2 to R. 1452-4 of the French Labour Code.
It will apply to proceedings brought on or after 1 October 2026.
What changes
Supporting documents no longer need to be attached to the claim. The claimant only has to append a summary list of the documents.
A new document is mandatory: the latest payslip relating to the dispute. If it cannot be provided, any document identifying the employer’s business must be attached instead. The aim is to direct the case more quickly to the right section.
Filing becomes simpler, but the work on the case remains the same. Remember to prepare all your documents in advance to avoid unpleasant surprises!
